There are a number of methods of family planning and crossing your fingers is not one of them. The nurses and your doctors are happy to discuss your contraceptive needs and advise on suitable methods.

The Midwife shares responsibility for your antenatal care with your hospital.
Women are offered a smear test 3 yearly between the ages of 25 to 50 and 5 yearly between the ages of 51 to 65. Our nurse has received special training for this purpose.
All new patients are offered an appointment on joining the practice to familiarise the team with their healthcare needs. If you are over 75 you can request a consultation if you have not been at the surgery for 12 months. If you are between the ages of 16-74 you can request a consultation if you have not been at the surgery for 3 years.
We encourage all active asthmatics to attend this useful clinic run by our nurse. She will monitor your asthma and agree management plans. You can make an appointment via reception.
Diabetic & Healthy Heart Clinics
These clinics are run by our nurse and supported by the doctors. Please make an appointment via reception for reviews.
Child Health & Immunisations
We recommend a full immunisation programme and regular checks on your child's well-being and development, these are carried out by a doctor and Health Visitor. Invitations to attend will be sent out by administration staff. 8 weeks check is run weekly by one of the doctors in Little Hulton on a rota. The clinic is held at the Sure Start. Travel & Other Immunisations
Every October we run a flu campaign for asthmatics, diabetics, patients with COPD, over 65's and chronically ill patients. The practice offers a wide range of injections and advice necessary for travel. Please contact the surgery 6 weeks before travelling, as some courses of vaccination require three individual injections. Tetanus, Hepatitis booster injections can be given at the surgery if appropriate. We give Cervarix to young girls.
A number of minor surgery procedures and joint injections can be carried out in the surgery, under local anaesthetic by Dr Umeadi.
